Need Volume, No Problem!

After each shampoo I use this product. Adds volume to my thin hair and gets ride of the frizz. Works great if I scrunch & go or if I blow it out. It's lightweight and does not feel sticky or weigh down my hair. Plus, it has a pleasant smell that's not too strong. Love it!

  1. Use on dripping wet hair straight after you have applied your styling gel. Applying 1-3 pumps of product to each side of your head.
  2. Pump into hand and emulsify to activate
  3. Tilting your head to one side, put your open palm under one section of your hanging curls and lift that section up to your scalp. Next, squeeze the curls 3-4 times with a pulsing action, then move on to the next area of that same side. (you will see the curl shape form)
  4. Repeat on the other side of your head once you have completed all the sections on the first side.
  5. Next, use your Curl Hydration Glove to remove the excess water by repeating the step 4 motion.
  6. Once you have removed as much excess water as possible, clip up your hairline (fringe line) with your volume root clips and diffuse or air dry.

  • Refresh Day

  • Cleanse twice with Nourish & Flourish Shampoo.
  • Hydrate with your recommended LOHY. Hydration product (make sure to use our Flexi Brush to ensure you have properly hydrated your hair.
  • Gently squeeze out some of the water from your hair, be careful not to use a towel and rub your hair at this point.
  • Grab your recommended styler and work section by section (2-4 sections is ideal) and distribute with your Flexi Brush from roots to ends.
  • Layer your secondary styler over the top the same way. Decide if you're working with your wave or doing a blow dry. 
  • If blow drying, begin to style as per normal, keeping your heat setting low and fan speed high. You can also opt to leave to air-dry, place your hair as you would like it to style and let nature do its thing.
  • If natural Curls are your desired finish, begin to scrunch your wet strands from ends to roots like a slinky. This will encourage more movement and shape to your waves. Diffusing your hair will build more shape and volume, and air-drying will create a softer natural texture.
  • Wearing a Curl Cozy is going to make refreshing so simple, so make sure you add that to your bed routine.

  • Pull your Cozy off and tip your head and your curls upside down. Using your hands like wide tooth combs, put your fingertips into your hanging curls and shake out your roots using small zig-zag motions with your fingertips.
  • If desired, you can scrunch the ends of your curls with damp hands to re-activate your product and settle any unnecessary kinks or fly-aways.

So glad I gave it a try!

Having fine 2b/2c wavy/curly hair the aim of my wash day routine is to turn out soft as can be, bouncy and define curls every time. To keep the routine simple with predictable results I use a curl cream and a medium hold gel only. I stayed away from mousse and foam so far for fear of having unnatural looking hair with a stringy cast to it. However, I was intrigued by the Chutzpah volumizing foam after viewing Janina’s ‘Hero routine’ online and decided to give it a try. Wow! I used a small amount and was immediately rewarded with the softest and bounciest curls and ‘zero’ cast. I ‘clapped’ the waves and curls all the same and did a little shake to volumize my hair do and voilà! I was good to go. I then went out shopping and received compliments on my naturally curly hair from two complete strangers.

Chutzpah volumizing foam is a very good product. It does what it claims to do and it smells great too!

I now feel more confident than ever in my curly hair styling routine. Thank you LOHY!
